Humberto Schimitt Vieira was born in Canguçu Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil on January 8, 1966. He is the Son of Octavio Rodrigues Vieira and Maria Schimitt Vieira. He is married to singer Anna Schmitt.
In relation to his secular life, at the age of twenty years old, he graduated from law school at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), Brazil. Practiced law, was an advisor to the Federal Judge then took over as Coordinator of Legal and Planning of the 4th Regional Federal Court, region of Paraná, Santa Catarina, and Rio Grande do Sul. He ultimately was promoted to the Director General of that court, a position that he held until he was called by God to devote himself entirely to pastoral duties.
As a minister of the gospel, he is the founder and current president of the Evangelistic Missionary Association and Heroes of the Faith Ministries with work already conducted in 14 nations. He was the founder and pastor of the District Cidade Baixa which now is called Center-South of the Evangelical Assembly of God in Porto Alegre.
He worked with the Convention of Evangelical Churches and pastors of the Assemblies of God in Rio Grande do Sul. He was Legal Advisor, Chairman of the Audit Committee, Councilor of the Council of the Doctrine, and second Secretary of the Board of Directors.
He was an integral part in the General Convention of the Assemblies of God in Brazil, he served two terms, one in the Council of Doctrine having held the second mandate, and the office of Secretary of the Council. He is president of the Restoration Ministries in the United States of America.

He has a Bachelor degree of Theology, is an international lecturer, editor, professor of missiology, and author of several books.
